I've now had 17 seizures this month.And tomorrow I call my neurologist to make an appointment to see him.I'm also going down in my seizures and hurting my self.
If anything nothing is helping my seizures at all now.I use the magnet of the VNS before I go to bed and that seems to keep me from having nocturnal seizures.
I gave up long up ago on my seizures every getting under  decent control.

Hello everyone;
I'm now having a seizure almost every day.I'm having more stress in my life. The stress is about my dog she has lost weight not put it back on and she look s like a doggie skeleton.Most people probbalon think it's ridiculous for me to be stressed over my dog.She did eat when I was in the hospital and never put back on the weight she lost.

Hi Belinda,

That is fantastic, I am glad to hear it. You have been through such a rough time. It is great that your VNS is working for you, especially at bedtime.

Hi "admin",

That was great of you to help Nanci. Investigating reporting is a difficult work.

Let me know when it airs on TV.

I was just having mostly nocturnal seizures. My VNS doc told me start using my magnet  before I went to sleep.I've had exactly 4 seizures this month.
My stress is way down.This is a vast improvement for me.

The VNS Message Board is an independent support forum for patients or family members who have the VNS (vagal nerve stimulator) or for those seeking more information about it.  This site is NOT associated with nor does it accept any funding by Cyberonic$ (maker of VNS) or any affiliate.  Our supportive and caring staff have first hand experience with VNS, most have had it implanted and all with varying degrees of success and or failure.

In the state I live in you have to be free of altered conciousness seizures for 6 months to drive, not ALL seizures.  You can still have simple siezures and still drive.  Smiley

I'm so sorry you are going through so much pain.

I have horrible headaches, too, and I'm not clear if they are an artifact or a result of the seizures, or a part of the seizures themselves.  It can take several days for them to go away, and nothing seems to help.  Not imitrex, not hydrocodone, or any other painkiller, not packing my head and neck in ice.  Eventually, though, it does go away.
